Dr. Tan Tin Wee was trained as a biochemist and molecular biologist in Cambridge, London and Edinburgh in the 80s. Dr Tan has more than 30 years of experience in academia, the biomedical, Internet technology and bioinformatics sectors. Dr. Tan is an Associate Professor of the NUS Department of Biochemistry.
He has won numerous awards for his achievements over last four decades, and was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame for pioneering internet in Singapore.
He was appointed as Chairman of the A*STAR Computational Resource Centre and founded the National Supercomputing Centre. Dr Tan was also serving as an independent director on the board of Keppel DC REIT.
