Cheryl is a warm and compassionate counsellor who believes in creating a safe space where people of all ages—children, teens, and adults—can feel heard and supported. She understands that life can be challenging, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or family conflicts. With a gentle and practical approach, she helps individuals and families find their strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

As a counsellor, Cheryl draws from a variety of evidence-based methods, including mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She has also completed Brainspotting Trauma Training Level 1, leveraging this somatic approach to help clients process trauma and emotional blockages where words fall short. Additionally, she has specialized training in family therapy and enjoys working with parents to strengthen relationships with their children, improve communication, and navigate the ups and downs of parenting.

Before becoming a counsellor, Cheryl spent a decade in the fast-paced world of media as a journalist and editor. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for the stresses of modern life and the importance of mental well-being. She holds a Master of Counselling (Advanced) from Australia and recently completed a year-long teacher training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT-L) at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, UK.

Cheryl’s approach is down-to-earth, non-judgmental, and supportive. Whether you’re facing big life challenges or just need someone to talk to, she’s here to walk alongside you.
