Adj A/Prof Angie Chew is the Founder, CEO and Mindfulness Principal of Brahm Centre, a mental health charity with more than 50 employees, dedicated to promoting happier and healthier living. She is the first certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher in Singapore by Brown-UMass. She has been a certified Dot-b and Paws b mindfulness teacher and a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course teacher. She was trained by Oxford University Mindfulness Centre and is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Mindfulness at the National University of Singapore.
A/Prof Chew has taught mindfulness courses and conducted workshops and retreats for more than 10,000 people. Her corporate clients are from sectors, such as finance (Goldman Sachs, DBS, OCBC, Bank of Singapore); healthcare (Ministry of Health, National Health Group, SingHealth, Institute of Mental Health, Agency for Integrated Health, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Community Psychology Hub); and education (Ministry of Education, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Hwa Chong Institution, Raffles Institution, Nanyang Girls Secondary, St Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School).
Before founding Brahm Centre in 2012, she held senior positions in Singapore Airlines, Visa International, Accenture, Hewlett-Packard and various government agencies.
